Looks like the creator was inspired by mythology Eggs, that egg is where living things created, born. Maybe also because eggs lots of protein, so after you shower, you will come back healthy.
It may also be due to the protective eggshell, so it can protect you while you shower.
If I have one at home, I will color it like the original egg, and each finished bathing, I would come out of the egg with style "baby rhino coming out of mother's womb"
